What is your approach to sustainable design? How do you use design and arts to bring about changes in society towards sustainability? How do other creative people round the globe do this? And what are the varieties in our partner cities Tunis, Thessaloniki, Beirut and Barcelona? In cooperation with the Goethe Institute Beirut we will introduce Anastasia Elrouss from Beirut, who will give us input about her approach to empowering women through architecture:
“Architecture as a change maker – Bridging sustainable gender gaps through construction & crafts”
Anastasia will present three of her ongoing ecological projects: “M Vertical Eco-Village: Urban Lung of Beirut in Lebanon”, “House of Lights in Lithuania” and The Green Heart of Krakow, An Active Spiritual Eco-Park”. The design of these green architectural and urban interventions is based on social inclusion and community empowerment. In addition, Anastasia will present a unique initiative to introduce the world of craftsmanship and construction to Lebanese women of all ages who do not have access to these skills because of income, social and cultural perception, and location constraints.
Then the virtual stage is yours: We want to hear your ideas! 20 creative thinkers will be selected to take the virtual stage for two minutes and present their projects as they pertain to our main subjects Ecodesign, Empowerment, Gender & Diversity and Changemaking.
At 19:20 we will switch from the main room towards rooms of “Wonder” where you can directly interact with the other participants about the issues that interest you the most: talk with the speakers about their projects, get to know other active creative people, introduce your work, or just chat. … If you would like to moderate a room with a specific topic in line with one of our main subjects (Ecodesign, Empowerment, Gender & Diversity and Changemaking) – please contact us!
But of course you can also just be there and listen.
Registration for an input à 2 minutes

Afterwards you can join one of the virtual rooms to answers people’s questions about your project.
