KUNSTHAUS is an inclusive art and meeting place with workshops, a project room, a gallery and a coffee bar. Disabled people with exceptional artistic abilities are individually and professionally trained here. We periodically host exhibitions, projects, theatre and other events.
The artist collective Labor Fou (*living and working in Cologne and Düsseldorf) specializes in temporary installations, urban interventions, interventions in public spaces, graphic and exhibition design. The team tries to push the boundaries of public space, experimenting with it and re-inventing it.

MCL® I coffee dregs – designing with coffee grounds The idea: to create a functional form for the organic waste that is coffee grounds. Objective: revaluing the material and satisfying a sustainable and aesthetic aspirations. Result: objects that reflect a formal archaic-organic design.

Larissa Sansour was born in 1973 in East Jerusalem, Palestine, and studied fine arts in London, New York and Copenhagen. Her work is immersed in the current political dialogue and utilises video, photography, installation and sculpture. Central to her work is the tug and pull between fiction and reality.

While writing our bachelor thesis ‘prepared to repair’, we dealt with the increasingly difficult task of repairing consumer goods, as well as developing strategies for obsolescence. Radames Eger is a designer. He develops and produces waterproof sleeping bags and rain coats for the homeless out of old umbrella and shower curtains. “I make sleeping bags for the homeless because the state isn’t doing their job and I want to send out a signal.”

iota is a design company with a social and ecological mission. We strive to design luxurious handmade objects for the interior, through traditional hand-craftsmanship, while creating jobs for otherwise unemployed people. We teach the skill of knitting and enable practicing it to earn an honest living.
Daphna Yalon researched the interconnected relationships between ‘House as Home’ and ‘Land as Home’ in Australia 2004-07. Since then she has been creating, researching and teaching Earth as matter and as the essence of life. Engaging community in processes is an integral part of her practice.
